The Chemistry department is part of the Science faculty which also comprises the departments of Physics and
Biology.

Science is taught as a single subject in Years 6 and 7 and the separate sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) are taught from Year 8 onwards.

Chemistry is a core subject studied by all pupils in Years 8-11.

Chemistry is a popular subject in the sixth form, selected by 40-50 pupils each year
