The new Year 11 chemistry Programme of Study continues the new-style GCSE Chemistry course.

 

The Programmes of Study for years 10-11 are based on the AQA GCSE Chemistry (4421) Specification

Pupils receive the textbook AQA Science - GCSE Chemistry for use in Years 10 and 11.

Pupils will also be issued with a light green chemistry exercise book and a number of important information sheets at the beginning of the year. Further copies of these sheets are available on this site.

Up to two homeworks per week may be set. Unless otherwise specified, work should be handed in for marking the following day. All homework set should be recorded in a L.G.S. Homework Diary. Each homework should, in general, take no longer than 30 minutes to complete although there will be occasions when revision or a research based project may take longer.

 

There will be a test on completion of each topic and pupils will take the C2 GCSE unit exam in January and the C3 unit exam in June. The C1 exam may be retaken in January and/or June and the C2 exam may be retaken in June.
